We are thrilled to welcome Chris Leutton to AWCC. Chris is a quality batsman and great bloke who has spent the last couple of seasons with Sub District club Oakleigh after getting back into cricket. Previously he had a very successful career in Brisbane as a top order bat and wicket keeper playing high level cricket.

Chris lives locally and along with partner Tash and young Elijah and all are excited to join our club community.

“Getting to learn about the club, and knowing a few of the players already, I can’t wait to get stuck in and to help our club perform on field, but also be a fun, positive environment with great standards and values’.

Chris will take on a role supporting Ron Salkowski and Craig MacDougall at trainings, focusing on specific fielding, wicket keeping and batting coaching. He will also be a key on-field leader in our 1st XI supporting skipper Chris Barr.

Speaking with WILLOWTALK, Barr said:
“Having another really experienced player such as Chris within our set up is going to be so important as we look to take learnings from our recent finals losses in Wright Shield and the T20 Grand final and strive for some silverware that we deserve!’

We welcome Chris and Tash to AWCC and also encourage all other club members to be actively encouraging other potential recruits to reach out and learn more about our great club.
