Ashburton Cricket Club Life member and one of our community’s greatest contributors, Peter Raymond sadly passed away yesterday.
Peter was a powerful force and over the years took on just about every role possible at the club.

A terrific batsman during the 1970s and 80s and an incredible leader and worker in everything he did. Peter was still a very active member of the club well into the 90s and 2000s until he was slowed down by Parkinsons disease.

He still continued to love attending past players days and rival clashes including the Carey Flintoff Cup matches vs Mulgrave.

Pete’s funeral will be held at 10am Thursday 11th September at Heritage Funerals- 733 Boronia Rd, Wantirna.

Over the coming days we will share more stories and photos in celebrating Peter, and his wonderful family’s contribution to our club.
